Apo Hiking Society (Danny, Boboy & Jim) are still pretty active in Pinoy music scene and still hiking after 30 years.

Gary Ariola & Bob Guzman, the 2 original members of Boyfriends reunited early this year and touring with Hotdog & VST bands in US & Canada this Fall 2002.

Bong Peņera (formerly of Batucada) is now living in Chicago, Iliinois. His current group is simply called the "Bong Peņera Group" and do their rounds on pubs & restaurants in Illinois. He did released his 5th album called "Samba Chicago" about 3 or 4 years ago.

The DROP OUTS band were the regular band of Stop Look Listen in 1968-1970, being hosted by Liza Lorena and Victor Wood. The band members were: Manny Levy who played in Tokyo in 1992-2002 is presently residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota and part time playing with the Asian Society Band. Ador Romero who played keyboards presently residing in Minneapolis and also with the Asian Society Band. Ben Picardo trumpet is presently residing at Oakland CA and still gigs on weekends. Benny Natividad played the trombone presently managing his own marching band in Tanza, Cavite. David Ardona is in the Philippines currently doing some real estate business. Pepe Adolfo who played drum is currently in Guam. Mario Reyes bass guitarist currently resides in San Francisco, CA and plays part time. Baby Yolanda "Yolanda Reyes" now resides in London. Jessie Lingasin Sax player is currently plays with the Asian Society as a drummer/saxplayer in Minneapolis, MN. Pete Sagge played Sax is currrently residing in New Jersey and married to Dr. Perla Sagge. The band were also regular at Amihan niteclub in 1968-1970 until they went to Guam played at Andersen Air Force Base Officers Club during the early 70s.

Horoscope Band: Rody Santos is now residing in LA, California & still rock & rolling. Ole Bianson is into gospel music now in Manila. Lito Marcos is a businessman. Ceasar Romero had passed away in 80s. Jun Atad is still on the Rock & Roll music.

Jesse Bartolome (formerly bassist of Banyuhay ni Heber) is currently doing folk music with Mel Orosa (Bluesland/Blue Ribbon Committee band). They play regularly at My Brothers Mustache in Quezon City.

Johnny Alegre III (formerly with Hourglass & Phase-II bands) still lives in the Philippines and currently employed with the Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI).

Jun Fabunan (former bass guitar player of Maria Cafra) died last June 2002 and a Tribute Concert to him took place just last Sept. 13 that was held at the Rembrandt Hotel.

Malu Fernandez re-established the Flinstones band and playing every Tuesday at the Banda Forest across Luneta.

Vic Generoso and Tony Generoso are still heading the Dynasouls (Beatles of the Philippines) and they're gigging at the Tropical Forest at nearby Luneta every Monday night.

Wally Gonzales (formerly with the Downbeats & Juan de la Cruz) is a successful businessman and "semi-retired" from the band scene but actively jamming with the Rockin' Revival band. He's planning to start a band focusing on early rock icon's music such as Deep Purple, Cream, Eric Clapton, Rollingstones, etc. LATEST FROM WALLY (Sept. 28, 2002) - his new group is now called Wally Gonzales & Friends and they recently performed last Sept. 27 at My Brother's Mustach jampacked club. For the month of October, their group will be at Kiko's Bar at Market Ave, October 12 at Santum Intramuros near Letran and October 18 at My Brother's Mustach club which is located at La Fuerza Plaza by Pasong Tamo in Makati. Wally Gonzales & Friends' other players are Dondi Ledesma on bass guitar, Junie Centeno on vocals & harmonica, Arman Kimpo on rhyhtm guitar and Wowee Posadas on drums & keybords. Their forte is acoustic electric doing some cover by Eric Clapton, Alllman Brothers band, Doors, Jimi Hendrix & lot of classic rock tunes.

Hotdog is alive & rocking, with the only original member Rene Garcia as lead guitarist. They are touring with Boyfriends & VST for Reunion Concerts in US & Canada.

The Howlers band is still atively gigging around Los Angeles (California) area and considered one of the best R & B Band here in LA. The current members are: Tony Aguilar (founder & lead vocalist), Bobby Sillona (lead guitar), Vit Villavicencio (keyboard), Gerry Cruz (bass guitar), Vic Jongko (drums), Jhing Sillona (female vocalist) & JayR Sillona (vocalist).

Junk Five & 3/4 former members' Butch Lara is now an architect & living in California, Tibo Chua is also in the States and the rest are still in the Philippines. Most noted concert they did was What's up Doc in the early 70's, playing mostly Allman Brothers,Larry Coryell and Deep Purple stuff.

Mike Hanapol (formerly with The Downbeats & Juan de La Cruz) is still rocking! He has a new CD released Legend Greatest Hits. He's also based in New Jersey & pretty active producing & composing music for the new generation of Pinoy rockers.

The Moonstrucks band is very much alive, playing classic music in Metro Manila and Toto Ealdama is still the front man for the band. You can watch & hear the Moonstrucks at the following locations: Gillespie's Bar every Monday, Buma Bar & Grill every Tuesday along Kamagong St. in Makati, Hotel Intercon Bar & Restaurant in Makati every Wednesday & every Thursday at the Live Station along West Ave in Quezon City.

Bits N' Pieces band (formed in the Philippines by Jay Husfelt in mid-60s) is very active gigging around Southern California, USA. The current members are: Jay Husfelt - drummer (original Bits N' Pieces), Jun Caberte - bass/keyboard (original Imperials), Niki Domingo - vocals/percussion (original Glenmores), Jesse Manahan - keyboard (original Hi-Jacks), Georgie Sevilla - rhythm guitar, Ed Samson - keyboard, Babe Gutierrez & Marifel Husfelt - vocals. Nides Jacinto Aranzamendez is now living & still gigging in New Jersey. He enjoyed & loved playing drums since he was 13 years old. His first band was the WHIRLWINDS (1962-63). then it became Jungle Cats with Nilo Santos & they played lots of concerts as well as colleges gigs. Then later on, he became the drummer of Savages Band, they traveled with the Downbeats all over Asia from 1968 to 1972 and notedly recorded LIVE in concert album with the Juan de la Cruz band. In 1974, He immigrated in US and played with Mike Hanapol in New Jersey with the Islanders Band. Also did the Buhay America concerts with Mike Hanapol in 1992. He is still a drummer with the Music Blvd. Band in New Jersey.


Noel, Bok & Tito


*Noel Copiaco (founder and bassist of the Black Knights, Hallucinogenic Citrus Juice and Squirrel Tooth Annie) works in computer aided design technology for a firm that builds structures and waterways in Michigan. He lives in Lansing with his wife Soledad and has two sons who are practicing their professions in NY.
*Bok Vergara (lead guitarist for the Hallucinogenic Citrus Juice) is a mechanical engineer for a nuclear engineering firm which serves nuclear plants nationwide. He is currently based in Illinois with his wife Beth. He has four sons including two in college.
*Tito Bautista (lead guitarist for Squirrel Tooth Annie) is a Lansing area pioneer in the world of computers and is a supervisor with an engineering development firm that oversees major companies' softwares and programs. He lives in Michigan with his wife Diane. He has three daughters and one son.


Ramon "RJ" Jacinto (founder of RJ & the Riots) currently manages and operates his 10 radio stations, one TV station, a wholesale and retail musical instrument company, a company that has the exclusive franchise for Radioshack stores, a shopping mall and has relocated Bistro RJ back to it's original location at 826 Pasay Road, Makati. Some call him "Dick Clark of the Philippines", some call him "The Guitarman", some call him the "Richard Branson" of the Philippines. Many call him "Mr. Rock n' Roll". Last September 8-10, RJ had a "Rock The Boat" performance on board the Star Cruises, Asia's largest cruise ship.

Gary Perez (formerly with Sampaguita) is now residing at Blaine, Washington. He formed a band called "Gary's Project" and the members are Gary on vocal/lead guitar, his wife Gina on vocal & rhythm guitar, Renee Currillo on drums and David Payne on bass. Gary's son JP was one of the finalist of the TV's popular American Idol and now the lead singer of the group.

Raymond Ungson who played with Widebeast & Jungle Cats (1963-1966) and Bits N Pieces (1967-1969) is now working as Director of Network Operations for the Federated Department Stores in Bay Area, California. He immigrated in US in 1969 and started a group with Burnell Bunch (formerly Tilt Down Men), Titus Galura (formerly of Sparks band) and Jun Montemayor (formerly of Widebeast combo). He jammed with RJ during the early 70s and recorded a 45 single with him called "Muli" song. He's now in mid-50s and still active with music.

Snaffu Rigor is still actively playing with Adlib Band.



Rockin' Revival Band, whose members were pretty active during late 60s & 70s music scenes, is still actively playing in Makati area such as the Rockwell's Dish & Intercontinental Hotel. Current band members line up are (from left to right): Butch Sabater (formerly with The Dynasouls & Alikabok) - keyboards & currently operates a consulting firm, Percy Benitez - drummer (came back to RP after playing in US for 20 years), Tony Huelves (formerly with Bad Habits & D'Deltas) - rhythm guitar, Kathy Castaneda (recently added female vocalist), Boy Mendez - lead vocal, Sonny Nicolas (known as Jose Feliciano of the Philippines) - lead guitar, & Roy Reyes - bass guitar (formerly with the 60s The Blackrats).



Bo Razon (formerly of T. Tinio Band of the 70s) is currently playing with the jazz band and actively gigging around metro Manila club circuits.

Joey "Pepe" Smith (formerly with the Downbeats & Juan de la Cruz band) is still gigging and jamming around as well as part time actor. He was one of the show act at "Ayaw Sa Gyera" Concert held at UP few months ago.

Edee Villanueva, formerly of The Technicolors, is now residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico USA. He had released a comeback CD in 1999.

The VST: SPANKY RIGOR (vocals/producer) is in San Francisco, California, CELSO LLARINA (rhythm guitar/producer) is in Oslo, Norway, MONET GASKELL, MALE RIGOR and VAL SOTTO (vocals) are in Manila, ROGER RIGOR (vocals), Seattle, Washington, JUN MEDINA (vocals) passed-away in mid-90s in San Francisco, VIC SOTTO (vocals/producer), still actively involved with entertainment, JOEY DE LEON (composer/lyricist) and TITO SOTTO (manager/producer) are actively involved in politics. And Company: HOMER FLORES (musical arranger/keyboards), CHITO ILAGAN (bass), BOY ALCAIDE (drums), BEN ESCASA (percussions), CLOD BARIA (trombone) and FRED CONCEPCION (trumpet).
